A few simple things you can do to work with your Mentor Manager to keep you and your Mentee safe are:

• Always use the WhatsApp group to communicate with mum/guardian or Mentee. Even if you arrange something verbally, confirm plans on the WhatsApp group so there is a record of what has been agreed. Avoid private messaging.
• Always record your Mentoring sessions in a timely fashion (1 or 2 days after it happens) in CharitySuite. Your Mentor Manager will review your attendance logs regularly and this will help them to follow up if they spot a concern in the log.
• Speak regularly with your Mentor Manager.
• Watch the quarterly safeguarding updates to stay informed.
