    Claire recently stepped down from a role as CEO of Shift Youth and Community after 9 years. Her greatest joys are mentoring, coaching and training young people and leaders.

    Irwin recently retired from being the CEO of ICN (International Care Network) in Bournemouth, (a refugee charity which has a particular focus in caring for unaccompanied asylum seeking children). Prior to that he managed and taught on ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) courses for many years in the UK and overseas.

    He is the currently the chair of ODILS (Open Doors International Language School) in Plymouth, and finance officer for the KunDe Foundation and a local church.

    Richard worked for BP Plc for 16 years across a number of different businesses and roles including Research Chemist, Commercial Manager and Negotiator, with responsibility for negotiating with governments and international oil companies. After leaving BP, Richard founded Chapter2 in 2018.

    His greatest joy is a long walk in the mountains with family and friends, ending at a pub serving fine ale.

    Andrea has worked with young people for over twenty years as a teacher and a youth/school’s worker, and has a particular heart for young people suffering from disadvantage.

    Andrea leads our training programme which includes embedding trauma informed practice at the heart of Chapter2. She also leads our impact measurement process, referral process and is the contact point for mentees’ families.

    Before joining Chapter2, Cerys worked in education with disadvantaged young people in Reading, with a focus on teaching Maths in a Trauma Informed practice. She has a heart for transforming the lives of vulnerable young people and helping them realise their worth.

    Cerys works on the centralised programme that includes recruiting, selecting, training, matching and supervising mentors. She also works on the referral process and is the main contact point for the centralised mentees’ families.

    Before joining Chapter2, Christina worked in arts and education with a specific focus on engaging vulnerable and hard-to-reach young people. She is a former headteacher at a school for young people who self-exclude from education after experiencing bullying, trauma or mental health challenges.

    Christina leads the centralised programme that includes recruiting, selecting, training, matching and supervising mentors. She is also the Designated Safeguarding Lead for Chapter2.

    Pete has over 15 years of experience in the charity and volunteer sector, managing teams of over 100 volunteers. He has a passion for seeing others fulfil their potential, and for the transformation of society. Pete studied film making at university and is an experienced cameraman, editor and story teller.

    Pete leads our partnership programmes for Chapter2 as well as overseeing the group activity programme.

    Rob Lewis

    Mentor Manager

    After training as a teacher with Teach First, Rob taught French and Spanish for eight years in both the state and private sectors. He then completed the On Purpose fellowship and joined Chapter2 after working in youth advocacy at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.

    Originally from Wales, Rob now lives near Maidenhead, where he enjoys exploring the Chilterns by bike on his days off.
