100KM along ‘old father’ thames

Join us next Father’s Day for our epic challenge of walking 100KM along the Thames – anyone is welcome!
The walk
Covering 100km along the beautiful river Thames, the route meanders through open countryside and a number of scenic towns and villages such as Oxford, Wallingford, Goring and Pangbourne. The day will start in Reading Town centre where a bus will take you to the river Thames west of Oxford and the route ends in Reading Town Centre (close to the central train station and bus station).
The challenge is to see how far you can go along the 100km route in 24 hours!
chapter2 has a growing list of boys with no contact with their dad who need a mentor. help raise money to meet this growing need.

Important Information
Cost
The cost to participate in the Thames Walk is £95 per person, which covers the costs of logistical support during the challenge. This is paid directly to our partner Will4Adventure.
Fundraising
All participants are expected to raise at least £1000 in sponsorship. Fundraising advice will be provided. Most fundraisers found it’s much easier than they thought to raise £1000 (with the average per person in the last 3 years >£2000).
Use of Funds
All funds raised by this challenge will go directly to support the expansion of Chapter2s work to write hope into the fatherless story.
The real challenge
Chapter2 has a growing waiting list of boys in Reading who have no contact with their dad and need a male mentor. Chapter2 is aiming to raise £100K to expand its operations to meet this growing demand.
